Overview
Nigeria holds very large kaolin reserves, most of it sold raw and unprocessed at a fraction of its refined value. We wash, de-grit, classify and dry it instead, because brightness and particle size are what a paper or paint buyer is actually paying for.
Beneficiating kaolin inside Nigeria rather than exporting raw clay is, in miniature, the argument the whole company is built on.
