Overview
Feldspar is the flux that lets ceramic bodies and glass batches melt at workable temperatures. We recover it from the same pegmatites that carry our lithium and tantalite, which makes it an efficient co-product rather than a standalone operation.
Ceramic buyers care about iron content above almost anything else, because iron stains a white body. Every lot is assayed for Fe₂O₃ before it is offered.
