Overview
The Nigerian bitumen belt runs through the south-west and holds reserves on a scale comparable to the country's crude oil endowment, yet the material is barely developed and road-building bitumen is still largely imported.
We are developing tar-sand occurrences within that belt for road construction, waterproofing and industrial binder markets, with extraction and upgrading planned as a single project rather than as separate ventures.
