Precious stone
Sapphire
Corundum in blue, yellow and parti-colour from the basaltic fields of the north-east.
Overview
Nigerian sapphire comes mostly from alluvial gravels shed off basaltic country rock, and runs across a wide colour range, from deep blue through golden yellow, green and parti-coloured stones that cut well without heat treatment.
We disclose treatment status on every parcel. Where stones are sold untreated, they are sold as untreated, and a buyer can verify that independently before settlement.
